Modular office furniture designed to promote productivity, comfort, and collaboration in a tech startup environment
TechForward Solutions, a growing fintech startup, needed to furnish their new 8,000-square-foot Manhattan office. Their requirements included accommodating 75 employees across various work styles (focused work, collaboration, meetings), supporting employee wellness, and reflecting their innovative company culture.
We designed a comprehensive furniture system that includes height-adjustable desks, ergonomic seating, modular collaboration furniture, sound-absorbing partitions, and flexible meeting solutions. The design emphasizes adaptability, allowing the space to evolve with the company's changing needs.
The final implementation created distinct zones for different work modes while maintaining visual cohesion and supporting employee health, productivity, and collaboration.
Electric sit-stand desks with memory presets allow employees to alternate between sitting and standing throughout the day, promoting circulation and reducing fatigue.
Sound-absorbing panels, privacy screens, and fabric-wrapped partitions reduce noise distraction in the open-plan environment while maintaining visual connection.
Mobile whiteboards, rearrangeable seating clusters, and modular tables support spontaneous collaboration and team meetings of various sizes.
Built-in power distribution, cable management, and connectivity solutions keep workspaces organized and support multiple device configurations.
Our design process incorporated anthropometric data to ensure furniture dimensions accommodate the full range of user sizes. Each workstation includes adjustable components that allow individual customization for optimal comfort.
Individual workstations with acoustic privacy screens, task lighting, and personal storage. Arranged to minimize visual distraction while maintaining team proximity.
Informal meeting spaces with mobile furniture, writable surfaces, and technology integration. Designed for 2-8 person meetings and brainstorming sessions.
Conference rooms with integrated AV technology, ergonomic seating, and sound isolation for confidential discussions and client meetings.
Informal seating areas with comfortable, lounge-style furniture to support casual interactions, breaks, and informal meetings.
Post-occupancy survey showed significant improvement in comfort and workspace satisfaction compared to previous office.
Company reported decrease in musculoskeletal-related sick days in first 6 months after implementation.
